Drake Matthies is a Wealth Management Intern at Briarwood Financial and a Business Finance student at Whitworth University, where he is also a member of the university’s football team.
Drake brings a strong work ethic, team-oriented mindset, and a growing passion for wealth management and financial planning. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Drake has developed an interest in helping individuals and families build confidence in their financial futures through meaningful relationships and thoughtful guidance.
Through his coursework, leadership experiences, and involvement in Whitworth’s Student Investment Group, he continues to expand his understanding of financial markets, investment analysis, and client-focused planning.
Outside of work and academics, Drake enjoys training, coaching youth football, golfing, and spending time with friends and family. His background in athletics has shaped his leadership, discipline, and communication skills, which he brings into both his professional and personal life.
