Your Business Should Be Working For You. Let’s Make Sure It Is.
Most business owners are so deep in day-to-day operations that real strategic work never happens. Briarwood works alongside business owners to diagnose what’s holding the business back, build a clear plan, and execute against it.

Business Consulting for Owners Ready to Run Their Business Intentionally.
We work best with business owners who are past the startup phase and are now facing the harder strategic questions: how to grow profitably, how to build a team and systems that scale, how to reduce their personal tax burden, and how to eventually exit on their own terms.
You’re Business is Growing, But Not Profitably
Your business revenue is going up but your margins are thin, cash flow is inconsistent, and you’re not sure where all the money is going.
You’re The Bottleneck in Your Own Business
Every decision runs through you. Nothing happens unless you make it happen. You can’t take a vacation without the wheels coming off.
You Have No Exit Plan—or Just a Bad One
The business is your biggest asset but you have never modeled what it is worth, what a sale would look like, or how you would transition out on your terms.
Your Personal Finances And Your Business Are Tangled
You pay yourself inconsistently, your business structure may not be optimized for taxes, and your personal wealth plan does not account for the business.
The Conversations We Have With Business Owners Every Day
You started the business to build something. But somewhere along the way it started running you instead of the other way around. Decisions feel reactive. Profitability is hard to track. The strategy conversation keeps getting pushed to next quarter.
You’re Running the Business and Working In It at the Same Time
You’re handling everything in the business. Growth stalls when everything depends on you. You need structure to scale.
Revenue Is Up but You’re Still Stressed About Cash
Your revenue is strong, but margins are thin and your cash flow is inconsistent. Your business works hard but lacks efficiency.
Strategy Is Always Getting Pushed to Next Quarter
The Important decisions get pushed aside. Growth, hiring, and strategy suffer when you have little to no time to plan ahead.
You’re Making Big Decisions Without the Right Information
You’re making all the big decisions without clear financial data. Better insight leads to more confident and informed choices.
You Don’t Know What Your Business Is Actually Worth
You don’t have a clear sense of what your business is worth. That number matters for planning, growth, and your business exit.
You’re Paying More in Taxes Than You Should Be
You may be paying more in taxes than necessary. Without a solid strategy, valuable opportunities are often missed and not thought of.
A Three-Phase Framework That Turns Business Clarity Into Business Results.
Every business consulting engagement follows the same disciplined process. We don’t start with recommendations—we start with understanding. Here is what that looks like.
Diagnose
We take a look at your business—financials, structure, team, position, and personal goals. We identify what is working, what is holding you back, and where opportunities are.

Plan
Based on what we find, we build a clear strategic plan. This is not a generic business plan template—it is a specific, prioritized roadmap that connects your business decisions to your financial goals, tax strategy, and personal wealth.
Execute
A strategy without implementation is just a document. We meet consistently to track performance against KPIs, adjust the plan as conditions change, and hold the work accountable to the outcomes we agreed on.
Every Engagement Is Different. These Are the Areas We Work On Most.
Business consulting engagements are scoped individually based on what your business needs most. Below are the areas we most commonly work on—and often several of these are addressed together within a single engagement.
Strategic Planning & Performance
We build and review your business plan, benchmark your performance against industry KPIs, and meet consistently to evaluate progress and adjust strategic initiatives.
Profitability & Cash Flow Improvement
We analyze where your revenue is going, identify margin compression, and create strategies to improve profitability and create more predictable, manageable cash flow.
Operational Efficiency
We help you become a proactive business by identifying bottlenecks, streamlining processes, and creating the systems that allow the business to scale without you.
Business Structure & Tax Strategy
We evaluate whether your current entity structure is right for where your business is going—and coordinate with the tax team to ensure your structure is optimized.
Employee Benefits & Incentive Plans
We help you design benefit packages and incentive structures—including retirement plans, profit sharing, stock options, and non-qualified deferred compensation.
Exit Planning & Business Valuation
We help you understand what your business is worth, identify ways to increase its value, and structure a sale or succession that protects your wealth and reduce taxes.
Integrated Wealth Planning for Owners
We help align your business and personal financial plans by addressing structure, tax strategy, retirement funding, and exit planning so everything works together as one.
Risk Management Assessment
We help identify operational, financial, legal, and personal risks, then build strategies to manage, reduce, or transfer them before they impact your business or personal wealth.
Most Consultants Don’t Know Your Tax Situation. We Do.
A standalone business consultant helps you build a strategy. But if they do not know your tax structure, personal financial goals, or how the business ties into your retirement plan, the strategy they build is missing critical context.
At Briarwood, business consulting is not a separate engagement from tax planning, wealth management, and accounting—it is coordinated with all three. That means:
This level of coordination is only possible when all the disciplines are under one roof. That's the Briarwood difference.

Transparent Pricing With No Hidden Costs
Business consulting engagements are priced individually based on the scope of work, the complexity of your business, and the level of ongoing involvement. We do not have a published rate card—because no two businesses are the same. What we do have is a transparent process: pricing is always discussed and agreed upon during your proposal review, before any work begins.
Engagements are structured as ongoing relationships with consistent meeting cadences—typically monthly or quarterly—to track progress, adjust the plan, and keep execution on course.
Project-based engagements (one-time business valuations, exit planning analysis, structure reviews) are also available.
All pricing is fixed and agreed upon before work begins.
Here’s What the Path to Becoming a Client Looks Like
Business consulting is a meaningful commitment—for both of us. We take the onboarding process seriously because the quality of what we build together depends on how well we understand your business before we start making recommendations.
Free Intro Call—30 Minutes
A no-pressure conversation to understand what is going on in your business, what you are hoping to accomplish, and whether a consulting engagement makes sense. We ask a lot of questions because this call sets the foundation for everything that follows.

Discovery Meeting
If the intro call goes well, we schedule a deeper discovery meeting. We review your financials, operations, structure, team, and goals in detail. This is where we start forming a picture of what is working, what is not, and where the real opportunities are.
Proposal Review
We present a customized proposal outlining what we recommend, which service areas we focus on, the format of our ongoing engagement, and the fee structure. We walk through everything together so you can make a clear, informed decision.
Engagement Letter
Once you decide to proceed, you sign an engagement letter and we schedule a kickoff meeting. This is where we formalize the plan, align on priorities, and establish the meeting cadence and communication norms for the engagement.
Ongoing Strategic Work
From here, we meet consistently—typically monthly or quarterly—to review performance against your plan, discuss emerging challenges and opportunities, and keep execution on track. The engagement evolves as your business does.
Let’s See If We’re the Right Fit for You
If you are a business owner who is ready to run your business more intentionally—more profitably, more efficiently, and with a clear plan for what comes next—this conversation is worth having. Schedule a free 30-minute intro call and let’s find out if we are the right fit for each other.
